KyedNS now speaks the Model Context Protocol, the standard that lets AI assistants like Claude use external services. Point your assistant at kyedns.com/mcp with the API token from your account settings, and it can add, edit and deploy the DNS records on your domains, check monitoring, and look after your hostnames, all in plain language. A few things stay in the dashboard for now: DNSSEC, record templates, webhooks and monitors, and adding or deleting a domain. Every change made this way is marked in your activity log, and account settings now has a button to regenerate your API token, which instantly cuts off any client using the old one. Because tokens could previously only read your account and can now also make changes, every existing API token has been replaced as a precaution: if you use the API, grab your new token from account settings. You can now enable DNSSEC on any custom domain from its page. DNSSEC cryptographically signs your DNS answers so resolvers can verify they have not been tampered with in transit. Turning it on signs the zone on our side and shows you the DS record to add at your registrar to complete activation. To move or remove a signed domain safely, disable DNSSEC first — remove the DS at your registrar and wait for it to expire — so the domain never ends up signed with a broken chain of trust.

Uptime monitoring is no longer limited to dynamic hosts: any A or AAAA record on a domain hosted with us can now be probed, alongside your free hostnames and DYNAMIC records.

A new Fleet section lets you monitor your dynamic DNS hosts with active TCP probing — configurable port, 5-minute check interval, and email alerts when a host goes down or recovers. Each host shows a 24-probe sparkline so you can spot patterns at a glance. Free accounts can monitor up to 4 hosts.

A new guided wizard helps you set up SPF and DMARC records for your domain. It auto-detects your email provider from existing MX records (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Fastmail, One.com, IONOS, Hetzner, and more), pre-selects the right SPF includes, and generates correct TXT records with explanations at each step.

Each account now has a personal API token (visible on your profile). Use it to read your zones, custom domains, and DNS records via a simple JSON API — handy for scripting and integrations.

Revived the 2011 dyndns.dk WEBJUMP feature for free *.dyndns.dk hostnames. Set a URL like https://kyedns.com/go/yourhost.dyndns.dk as your browser homepage: every time the browser opens, your IP is updated and you're sent on to the destination you pick (e.g. google.com). No client to install, no router config, no scheduled tasks. Configure the redirect destination on the hostname page under Settings. The bookmark URL has no tokens — auth uses the 30-day sign-in session, so you'll re-authenticate roughly once a month. Useful if your router has no DDNS support and you just want something that works.

Dynamic hostname updates now propagate to public resolvers within one TTL instead of waiting up to an hour for the scheduled sync. When your IP changes, the zone serial is bumped immediately.
